Lee Anthony is a singer, guitarist, bassist and drummer. He has a bachelor's degree in applied music (jazz guitar) from Mohawk College. Lee has performed professionally over 4000 times, with tours and cruise ships taking him to over 70 countries. He currently performs a broad repertoire of top 40 cover songs, dating from the 1950s to the 2020’s, as a solo singer/guitarist.
Lee’s musical background is primarily one of group collaboration. For the first decade of his career, he was based in Toronto, Canada. The following 10-year period found him working with groups in London, England. Over this 20-year span, he performed both covers and originals with dozens of groups, spanning a large variety of genres. Reflecting Lee’s broad taste in music, he worked with outfits specializing in rock, punk, surf, psychedelic, country, blues, soul, reggae, ska and gypsy jazz. Several of his original compositions available on Spotify have accrued over one million listens.
Lee’s history of working with bands heavily informs his current approach to music as a solo artist. He puts a strong emphasis on dynamics, tight arrangements and rhythmic sophistication. Above all else is his insistence on groove and belief that good music should affect people on a physical level.
Lee’s extensive experience on stage has endowed him with a natural ease as an entertainer. He particularly enjoys shows where he can banter and joke with the audience, making the experience more engaging and interactive for all.
Lee currently performs around the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. His calendar includes bookings at bars, restaurants, hotels, resorts, breweries, wineries, distilleries, festivals and private parties.
On his days off, Lee can be found busking for the tourist industry situated along Lake Okanagan in Penticton. He has performed a four-hour show, approximately one hundred nights every summer for the past 3 years.
